Emily brings more than 15 years of Pediatric Nursing experience to Kid Approved Pediatrics with the last 9 years as a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and our very own on-site Lactation Consultant. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B. S. in Child Development. She received a B.S. in Nursing from Columbia and her Masters of Nursing from UCLA.
As a mother of 4 young children, she is dedicated to the health and wellness of children. She enjoys seeing her patients grow, and is here to support parents during each of these exciting stages.
She is also passionate about breastfeeding. She has worked through many common breastfeeding issues with her own children and her perseverance lead to her becoming an international Board Certified Lactation Consultant so she can continue to help other mothers and babies. She is available for concerns and questions about all aspects of breastfeeding, including latching, milk supply, weight concerns, pumping, and returning to work. Emily looks forward to meeting your family and hopes that she can be part of helping your children thrive!
